Hagerstown Aviation Museum to be featured on Maryland Public Television’s newest show Chesapeake Collectibles
(Hagerstown, MD) The Hagerstown Aviation Museum will be featured on Maryland Public Television’s newest show, Chesapeake Collectibles. The museum segment will air on MPT February 12th @ 6:30pm and February 17th @ 8pm. John Davis, host of MPT’s Motorweek, Ken Day, producer of Chesapeake Collectibles, and production crew visited Hagerstown last September during the annual fly-in.
"Knowing that the museum has a unique collection of aircraft built in Hagerstown, Maryland, Ken Day called us," said John Seburn, museum president, "The museum is very grateful to be showcased on Maryland Public Television’s Chesapeake Collectibles. We discovered that John Davis went to school to be an aeronautical engineer so he thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Fairchild Aircraft during his tour of the flying boxcars," Seburn stated.
Chesapeake Collectibles explores the Chesapeake Bay’s distinctive history through the regions treasures, people and their stories. Each episode of the series takes you on an entertaining walk through the Maryland past. Hear the stories behind favorite family heirlooms while expert appraisers make the distinction between what is "collectible" and what is not.
"Since Chesapeake Collectibles began airing in January, the show has been well received and has generated much interest and many suggestions for other unique Maryland collections to be featured," said Ken Day. "We are very pleased to present the Hagerstown Aviation Museum story in the upcoming episode and hope the public will learn more about the museum," Day said.
